POP’s mission is to invite people to connect in real life and be more present. We know not everyone has the skill, so we teach people how to connect and be more present. We have courses, webinars, workshops, talks, and this blog: “Pause for the Good Stuff.”
What's the Good Stuff?
It’s the stuff that bring us joy, connection, and self-reflection without involving technology. It’s the stuff that makes us uniquely human. Think about some of the good stuff in your life? What brings you joy? What brings you peace? What makes you smile?

It’s easy to rush past the good stuff. Because of technology and daily pressures, we tend to focus on what’s next, and lose sight of the small, precious moments that matter.
- A Warm Hug from a Loved One – The comforting embrace of a friend or family member that says "I'm here for you" without any words.
- A Quiet Morning Walk – The peaceful solitude of walking outside, feeling the cool air, hearing the birds, and noticing the beauty in nature.
- Laughing with a Friend – A moment of pure joy where everything feels light, just sharing an inside joke or spontaneous laugh with someone you care about.
- A Heartfelt Conversation – Deep, meaningful talks where you truly listen and feel heard, creating a stronger bond with another person.
- Holding Hands with Someone Special – A simple yet powerful gesture that expresses affection, love, or support without needing to say anything.
- Reflecting on Your Achievements – Taking a moment to appreciate how far you've come, giving yourself credit for the efforts and progress you’ve made.
- Playing with a Pet – The unconditional love and joy of spending time with an animal, feeling their warmth and companionship.
- Dancing to Your Favorite Song – Moving to music, whether alone or with others, feeling the rhythm and letting go of any stress or tension.
- Reading a Thoughtful Letter – Receiving a handwritten letter or note that expresses care, appreciation, or love, making you feel valued and seen.
- Watching the Sunset – Taking a moment to simply watch the sky change color as the day winds down, feeling grateful for the world around you.
Breaking from the rat race and looking up from our screens can be difficult – so much is on our screens. But the benefits outweigh the cost. Whether we’re taking a beat to reconnect with ourselves or with others, pausing for the good stuff leads to a richer, and more fulfilled life.
