Personalized Digital Wellness Plan
program work?

In this 4-session plan, you and your partner will learn to set healthy boundaries with technology and improve communication, enabling you both to rediscover the joy of being present together.
No blame, no finger-pointing - just tools to help you reconnect.

Session 1: Spot the Disconnect

Using both a written assessment and conversation, we’ll uncover the exact ways tech is driving a wedge between you and your partner.

Session 2: Build New Boundaries

Using information from your first session, we’ll design phone-free practices that strengthen communication and intimacy.

Session 3: Practice with Support

With a plan in hand, you and your partner will put your plan into action, with me guiding you both through the hard spots. 

Session 4: Anchor Your Connection

In our final session, we’ll reflect, adjust, and lock in new habits so tech no longer interrupts your relationship.

Hi, I’m Ashley René, founder of Presence Over Pixels.

I started POP after realizing just how much our screens were stealing. I could see how screen time was quietly reshaping my family dynamics, my community, and society overall. 

Now I help individuals, families, and organizations create healthier digital habits with technology. My approach blends evidence-based research with systems I’ve created through hands-on experience, giving strategies that are both grounded and proven to work in real life.

I’ve seen (and experienced) how tech can quietly creep between partners, and I know the courage it takes to rebuild connection. That’s why I designed this plan with equal parts compassion and structure, so no one has to feel like the “bad guy” in their relationship.

Frequently asked questions

What if only one of us thinks this is a problem?

That’s actually common! This program helps bridge that gap so both partners feel heard. We’ll focus on building agreements instead of blame.

Is this like couples therapy?

Not quite. Think of me as a guide and coach. My focus is specifically on your relationship with technology—and how to remove the friction it creates between you.

Do we both need to attend each session?

Yes, you and your partner both need to attend all sessions. During your sessions is where you get to ask questions and surface concerns. If only one person attends, then only one person gets to share their experience, ask questions, and get insights. 

Do we need to attend all 4 sessions?

Yes, the plan is structured to build on each session. We recommend spreading the sessions out over the course of 60 days to support building new habits.

What if we decide we need more than 4 sessions? 

After you complete the program, you can maintain support by purchasing additional single sessions.  

What happens during a session?

Each session is guided by a written assessment completed before the session. This will help us stay focused so we can maximize our time together. Of course, if there is something specific you would like to address, we will make time to address it. 

Is this really personalized to us?

Yes! This isn’t a cookie-cutter experience. It’s a private conversation based on your habits, routines, and challenges. The strategies I share will be tailored to your life.

How do we join our session?

All sessions are held virtually via video call. Once you sign up, you’ll get a link to schedule your time. If you’re within 50 miles of St. Louis and want to meet in person, that option is available for an additional fee.

Do we need to prepare anything before our session?

Before each session you will be asked to complete a brief assessment. The assessments are reviewed before your session, so our time together is maximized.

What if we can’t make our scheduled time?

Life happens. You can reschedule through the scheduling link in your written assessments for each session. We do ask that all reschedules be completed at least an hour before your session. Three late reschedules will result in a session being cancelled, without refund.
